Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison discovered a new way to 'generate' hydrogen. Using noise and vibrations they were able to break water molecules. The scientists use nanocrystals which are placed in water. When these tiny crystals are pulsed with a vibration, caused by noise, a chemical reaction occurs causing water molecules to split. Leaving us with... you can probably guess it... (clean) energy! The process is not yet finetuned but promisses possibilities for an efficient way to generate energy.
