After the Eyjafjallajoekull erruption I was waiting for articles on volcano power as alternative energy source. And they're starting to show up in the press worldwide.

For years now experts are trying to convince the American government to pay more attention to this alternative and infinite energy source. Volcanoes and hot springs could supply up to 25 per cent of America's power needs, energy experts have said. The US government, again, is left behind by Asia. The first countries there are taking serious steps towards harnessing energy produced by volcanos. Indonesia has set a goal of bringing online 4GW of geothermal capacity by 2014, which will almost quadruple the current capacity of 1,189 MW. It takes a $12 billion dollar investment. But Indonesia expects to cut CO2 emission drasticly.

Energy is everywhere, it just takes a little bit of creativity and some money to harness it.
