Upholding a reputation for connecting customers with the industry’s most trusted product assortment, Distrelec, leading distributor of electronics, automation and measurement technology, has added the Bourns® Precision Sensor (BPS) range to their web shop. Known as a leader in electronic components, Bourns is continuing its tradition of high-precision sensor technology with the new environmental surface-mount sensors that are ideally suited for certain harsh environments and applications.

The BPS range has been designed with high accuracy in mind. The 110 and 120 have a low total error band (TEB) of a mere 1.5% , 2.5% in the 130 and 3% RH for the 230. This makes the range of pressure and humidity sensors particularly sensitive to ultra-low pressure ranges, Humidity, and ideal for temperatures from -40°C up to 150°C. Allowing high durability in conditions that typically cause most sensors to fail, the technology is versatile enough to be used in either analog or digital systems.

David Johnson, Application Engineer from Bourns has stated; “Proven to meet high sensitivity, long-term reliability and extended temperature capability requirements, the BPS range is ideal for Distrelec’s network of engineers, technicians and professionals operating in the low/medium risk medical*, HVAC, industrial and transportation industries.”

Steve Herd, CEO at Distrelec, has stated; “As they endeavour to find solutions that work, designs that exceed expectations, and to locate products and tools to propel technological change, our network continuously turns to Distrelec for industry-altering technologies such as the BPS range from Bourns.”

The full BPS range is available via the Distrelec web shop.
