Next Tuesday the Embedded World trade fair will open its doors in Nuremberg. Despite or perhaps because of the difficult situation, Elektor will be on site with a team (editors, marketing, video crew, etc.).

Because of the corona virus many companies have cancelled their participation, among them are big semiconductor manufacturers like ST, Renesas and Microchip and major distributors like Mouser and Arrow. Other companies will exhibit nevertheless. Elektor is also going to Nürnberg. We will take the opportunity to look around the stands for interesting new products and explore possibilities for cooperation with other companies. Two Elektor employees are on their way to discover interesting start-ups. An Elektor video team will also be on site. We intend to conduct a few interviews with companies, and in doing so we will also be looking into the question of what consequences the "virus crisis" could have - including global consequences, for example in relations between the USA, China and the EU.

Like every year, Elektor had planned a stand in Hall 4A. However, according to our information, half of the companies exhibiting there have now cancelled their participation, including the larger companies. Elektor believes that it no longer makes sense to exhibit with one' s own stand in a mostly empty hall.
Of course, we regret that we now have to forego the opportunity to meet our members and other electronics engineers and present the latest projects from our laboratory. But the next chance to do this will come this year, at the electronica trade fair in November, when the entire electronics industry will hopefully no longer have to worry about health issues.

Elektor is quite certain that Embedded World will emerge from the crisis even stronger in 2021 - with even more exhibitors and visitors than in 2019!
