This article discusses a compact interface that allows PC users to
communicate with I²C compatible ICs and circuits. The interface
comprises an I/O port and a combined 8-bit analogue-to-digital and
digital-to-analogue converter. Also, system software is described
that brings life to the I²C PC insertion card described last month.
