After you have designed a ‘standard’ PCB and you would like to have it manufactured (in volume) then the STANDARD Pool from Eurocircuits is an appropriate choice. Through this service you have access to an extensive range of manufacturing options, using either the pooling or non-pooling service. The menu indicates which options are not available in the pooling service, so that you have a quick overview of the more expensive production options and can easily select or deselect these according to your requirements.
A very handy overview of costs is provided by the price-matrix. This offers a quick summary of the various incremental costs, but you can also enter a few values yourself and receive an indication of cost immediately. In this way you can see at a glance which batch size and service is the best fit to meet your requirements.

The most important criteria when choosing a pooling-service is if course the range of technical specifications that are offered. The STANDARD pool offers a very extensive range of production options:
  • Up to 8 layers, even if you order only one PCB (up to 16 layers is possible, but this is then not part of the pooling service)
  • FR-4 PCB-material, complies with RoHS and comes with strong guarantees about lead-free solderability
  • 100µm- (4mil)-technology (90 µm (3 mil) is possible but outside of the pooling service)
  • Maximum dimensions 500 x 425 mm for multilayer, 580 x 425 mm for single- and double-sided boards
  • Minimum dimensions 5 x 5 mm
  • Board thicknesses of 1.0, 1.55 and 2,4 mm are available via the pooling service, other thicknesses (0.2, 0.36, 0.50, 0.80, 1.20, 2.0 and 3.2 are possible but are outside of the pooling service)
  • Copper thickness for single-sided PCB: 35 µm (70 and 105 µm available outside the pooling service)
  • Copper thickness for double-sided PCB: 12, 18 and 35 µm (70 and 105 µm available outside the pooling service)
  • Copper thickness for multi-layer PCB: 12 µm outside layers/18 µm inner layers and 18 µm outside layers/35 µm inner layers (other combinations are possible outside the pooling service)
  • Minimum track width and spacing: 0.100 mm (0.090 mm outside the pooling service)
  • Minimum hole diameter 0.150 mm (0.100 mm outside the pooling service)
  • Minimum pad diameter outside layers: 0.300 mm for plated, 0.200 mm for non-plated
  • Minimum pad diameter inner layers: 0.350 mm plated, 0.250 mm non-plated
  • Minimum copper to board edge spacing outside layers: 0.250 mm when routing, 0.450 mm with V-cut
  • Minimum copper to board edge spacing inner layers: 0.400 mm when routing, 0.45 with V-cut
  • Completely professionally finished with green or black solder mask on both sides (blue, red, white, clear are possible outside the pooling service)
  • Single- or double-sided digital overlay (‘silk screens’) in white (yellow, black and white photo varnish are possible outside the pooling service)
  • Two different finishes: electroless gold over nickel (ENIG) and lead-free hot air leveling (LF HAL) (immersion silver is also possible, but is outside the pooling service)
  • No tooling costs
  • No minimum order value
  • 100% manufacturability check before production
  • 100% electrical test of all multi-layer boards (for single-layer board this is optional)
  • Maximum client panel size for an eC-compatible panel is 350 x 250 mm
  • Minimum panel size 50 x 50 mm
  • Panels will be delivered with V-cut separation or break-route separation using 2 mm router tool
  • 130 µm stainless steel stencil with maximum dimensions of 595 x 595 mm

You can find all these options and configurations settings in the PCB Configurator, an online tool that resides behind the buttons Price calculator and Launch inquiry.
When combined with the dimensions of your circuit board, you can use this to determine the production options and the cost already.
