The application must be made online before the deadline. The closing date for participation is 9th of September 2018.

All entries received are reviewed and evaluated by a judging panel made up of expert engineers and trade journalists at Elektor International Media. The winners in each of the categories (prototypes and startups) will be invited to pitch against each other at electronica 2018 in a bid to win a prize. Startup companies selected by the panel can make use of the electronica 2018 start-up platform to showcase their ideas at a maximum cost of €1,000.

The First Place winner will receive a marketing package worth €75,000 from Elektor including an exhibition stand at electronica 2020.
