The Speakers


Dan Holt is a Staff Analog Embedded Solutions Engineer (Analog FAE), working in the South West region of the US.  He has worked for Microchip for 12 years, and has designed electronics for 30+ years since graduating with a BSEE from San Diego State University.  His primary responsibilities include linear/mixed signal components and power supply design support, including hybrid controller designs for solar and battery charging.  His personal interests include all things DIY, off-grid solar, PCB design, video editing, and mixing live sound in contemporary Christian services.

Clemens Valens is the Technical Manager of Elektor Labs. He holds a BSc in Electronics and an MSc in Electronics and Information Technology. Valens started working for Elektor in 2008 as editor in chief of Elektor France. He currently produces engineering tutorials and product reviews at Elektor.tv
