Would you like fun DIY project that will look great on your desk, workbench, or bookshelf? Look no further than the Elektor US-Style Siren Kit, which is featured in Elektor Summer Circuits 2022.
The kit includes a PCB, all the necessary components, and a wooden stand.

The US-Style Siren Kit

Elektor's US-Style Siren Kit is a fresh take on Ludwig Libertin's classic circuit from 2003. Simply read the notes on the back of the board, assemble the kit, and you're done in less than an hour! Once assembled, you can press a button to sound one of three different US-style sounds: police, fire, or ambulance.
The original schematic of the siren redrawn for clarity. The top is the modulator,
the bottom the sound generator. T5 is the amplifier.

The kit come with a neat-looking circuit board, a wooden stand, and all the necessary (except the 2032-type 3 V button cell). Because Elektor uses through-hole devices, assembly is a cinch.

Watch and Learn

Watch Elektor engineer Clemens Valens unbox the kit and test the siren sounds. What do you think?
