The Dutch company Lemnis Lighting, that produces the sustainable LED light 'Pharox', was listed in the Fast Company top-10 of most innovative consumer products. The Pharox uses 90% less energy than a convential bulb. Last year alone Lemnis Lighting sold 2.5 milion LED lights in the Netherlands. Other companies listed in the top-10 are Nike, Timberland and Whirlpool. This might mean some serious competition for Philips, the Dutch company that was built on bulbs. Remko Gaastra, CEO Lemnis Lighting, is planning to launch the Pharox in the United States soon. We will keep an eye on this company.
