The first part of this article ( Elektor 12, p. 448) outlined the thinking that led to the Equin amplifier design. In this second part of the article, the `paper` amplifier is converted into a ready-to-build recipe. To what extent the performance of the prototype will be equalled by other `cooks` depends partly on the quality of the components used. However, the intention was to produce a `musical` amplifier - and the listener`s ear shall be the final judge. In our experience even a `worst-case` amplifier could not be distinguished by ear from the prototype.
