Add a Sparkle
This circuit was developed to provide novel coloured lighting effects for a crystal glass figurine.The circuit shown in Figure 1 consists of an 8-pin (SMD package) PIC microcontroller together with two blue, one red and one green LED. By using two blue LEDs and different valued series resistors it is possible to produce all the basic colours of equal brightness. The microprocessor slowly dims each LED individually in a pseudo-random pattern to produce interesting lighting effects.
