De auteurs van dit essay, Karel en Piet, studeerden beide aan de TH Eindhoven (thans TUE) in het begin van de jaren 60 van de vorige eeuw. Beide waren ze opgegroeid met als hobby het knutselen met radio’s, versterkers, zelfgemaakte pick-ups, etc. Dan was het logisch dat je elektrotechniek ging studeren, in die tijd dus het ontwerpen en bouwen van analoge systemen met elektronen buizen, dachten Karel en Piet...
