Innovative Platinum Sensors Monitor Emissions in Modern Diesel and Gasoline Vehicles
Sensors are a key technology that enable the reduction of CO2 emissions in the automotive industry. Every year, Heraeus produces millions of platinum sensors using thin-film technology to ensure compliance with emissions limits, reduce consumption, and improve the operational safety of vehicles. Now the technology group is introducing a recently developed platinum Pt200 sensor for use with turbochargers at up to 1,100◦°C, pushing the use of platinum sensors into new dimensions.
