Add a data logger to your heating system
When you don’t live in a part of the world where the temperature is always above 20 degrees Celsius, your house or apartment probably has a heating system. Heating costs money and so people always look for ways to keep heating expenses as low as possible. A scientific approach of this problem starts with collecting data to get a feeling of the system.

This ESP8266-based project can help you with that. It is a data logger that measures and stores some important parameters of a heating system for further analysis. It collects the following data:
  • Outgoing water temperature
  • Return water temperature
  • Outside temperature
  • Hot water temperature
  • Hot water heating temperature
  • Burner on/off time
