Embedded World 2017: projects and books from the Elektor lab
Here’s one for the diary if you haven’t already pencilled it in; anyone with the slightest interest in microcontrollers and all things embedded. You will need to get yourself along to the Embedded World trade fair in Nuremberg between the 14th and 16th March.

As you would expect, we shall also be there at our stand.  My colleagues and I are looking forward to it. Along with a toothbrush and a few fresh shirts I will be taking along loads of Elektor lab projects for you to get your hands on. Here is a small sample of what we will be packing:
  • FPGA-Board (brand new, Article to be published in the summer edition)
  • D-Watt compact audio-power stage
  • Contactless energy transfer
  • NCSA – A Network Connected Signal Analyzer
  • RGB Digit Clock
  • The totally charming Sand Clock
  • 500 ppm LCR meter
  • Smartscope-Maker kit

On top of that at our stand we will have the latest books themed on microcontrollers for you to browse. We invite any of our readers attending to have a chat with our editors and developers and we would be especially pleased to hear your suggestions of future projects.

That’s not all; you know how notoriously bad engineers are at marketing their products? Well help is at hand. Every day at our stand we will be hosting a presentation by one of the most experienced and respected marketing experts. Rebecca Geier’s latest book ‘Smart Marketing for Engineers’ is packed with insightful and valuable tips on how engineers can best market their products and ideas to a tech-savvy audience and establish links with other professionals, customers and funding agents.  On Tuesday and Wednesday Rebecca’s presentation will begin at 4 pm and on Thursday at 3 pm so don’t miss out on this event, her presentations are known to be entertaining and her in-depth knowledge underpins a lively audience interaction. The seminars and refreshments are free to all participants.

Also at Embedded World we will have our latest (76 page thick) edition of Elektor Business Magazine which has a special focus on ‘Microcontrollers & Tools’. This is free to all visitors to our stand, make sure you don’t miss your copy. Available in English and German.

We are all looking forward to meeting you, come and see what we’ve got, we will be at stand 646 in Hall 4A on 14, 15 and 16 March 2017.
