Using Sonoff smart switches for remote instrumentation and control.
The ESP8266 based Sonoff Basic R2 smart switch is a very cheap WiFi connected remote control device with the very interesting feature to be reprogrammable from scratch using the Arduino IDE. This project turns it into a back-end for various sensors. A terminal demo application running on a Windows PC or a Raspberry Pi produces a formatted display of the values reported by the sensors.
