Precision current measurement is one of those areas that looks straightforward until you’re dealing with leakage, noise, and real-world sources of error. To help engineers approach ultra-low current measurements with confidence, Elektor presents a themed webinar: Precision Picoammeter: Picoamp Measurements and I-V Curves — Webinar with Johannes Sturz.

A €50 webinar, free to attend thanks to eeNews Europe.

What to Expect in the Precision Picoammeter Webinar

In this session, Johannes Sturz joins Elektor host Brian Tristam Williams to introduce the Precision Picoammeter Labs project and the design approach behind measuring currents across 10 decades, from pA to mA, using nine measurement ranges. The instrument also includes a programmable ±5 V source for automated I–V sweeps and curve-tracer-style characterisation.

Johannes will cover practical techniques for low-leakage, low-noise current measurement, as well as calibration and ranging. He will also demonstrate the browser-based GUI workflow used to plot results and export data.

See the project page at Elektor Labs here.

Giveaway

Elektor is giving away three copies of the book The Arduino-Inside Measurement Lab by Burkhard Kainka. It presents an 8-in-1 Arduino-based test and measurement concept that can serve as a voltmeter, PC oscilloscope, signal generator, adjustable voltage source, frequency counter, ohmmeter, capacitance meter, and characteristic curve recorder.
