Integrated audio amplifier (1):
It sometimes seems as if the design of an audio amplifier is a competition to achieve the lowest possible distortion. However, reducing distortion below a certain (Iow) level merely increases the cost of the amplifier and does not further improve the sound quality. It is for this reason that the design of the integrated amplifier has been kept simple, although the maximum distortion is weil below the discernible (audible) level.
