With an MSC1210 Development Platform
Elektor is proud to present a Texas Instruments MSC1210 based microcontroller board complete with its first application: a versatile, high-end, compact and accurate measurement module. Thanks to the state of the art controller used, the module can be programmed to suit many measurement tasks. On today’s microcontroller market you’ll come across a plethora of 8051-compatible CPUs with on-chip analogue extensions. Texas instruments (TI) recently jumped the bandwagon by employing the popular 8051 core in a very special product, the MSC1210. Even after just a couple of tests we were won over to using the MSC1210 in the Elektor Precision Measurement Central.

CAM/CAD data for the PCB referred to in this article is available as a Gerber file. Elektor Members can exclusively download these files for free as part of their Membership. Gerber files allow a PCB to be produced on an appropriate device available locally, or through an online PCB manufacturing service.
Elektor recommends its business partner Eurocircuits as the company of choice for its own prototypes and volume production in selected cases.
