Small but Perfectly Formed: the Raspberry Pi Zero W
First steps for the newest arrival in the Pi family
The mini version of the Raspberry Pi with the suffix Zero has been with us since the end of 2015. February 2017 saw the advent of the Zero W (W for ‘wireless’) model, enhanced with WLAN and Bluetooth capabilities. In this article, we examine how to get started with the new board started, what it does, and the advantages of adding wireless technology to this tiny single-board computer. As a practical example, we’ll hook up a temperature sensor and distribute the data by WLAN using the MQTT protocol.
