Xprotolab is a miniature oscilloscope, logic analyzer and arbitrary waveform generator housed in a 25 by 40 mm DIP module. It can be mounted directly on a breadboard or PCB for in situ testing and verification. Based on an Atmel ATXmega32A4 microcontroller with 32 KB of flash memory, 4 KB of  SRAM and 1 KB of EEPROM, the Xprotolab module can also be used as a development board for AVR Xmega microcontrollers.

The Xprotolab has a 25-mm 128 x 64 pixel OLED and provides the usual functions of an 8-bit mixed-signal oscilloscope with simultaneous sampling of analogue and digital inputs. It supports two analogue channels and eight digital channels with horizontal and vertical cursors. The maximum input voltage is ±10 V and the maximum sampling rate is 2 MS/s, yielding an analogue bandwidth of 320 kHz. An external trigger input allows triggering on any desired signal, with trigger level adjustment.

The module also offers arbitrary waveform generator capability and supports voltmeter mode, XY mode and spectrum analyzer mode for analogue signals. Digital input signals can be displayed in logic analyzer mode, and the 44 kHz arbitrary waveform generator outputs  ±2 V sine, triangle and square waves with adjustable amplitude, frequency, offset and duty cycle. The Xprotolab module can be powered either via its micro-USB connector or its external supply voltage pin (+5 V).

Xprotolab is available from Saelig Company at US$49.
