WiSmart EC19W01 Connects to the Cloud

The WiSmart EC19W01 module from Econaise was announced today at EELIVE! In SAN JOSE, California. It is a family of small fully-certified, application-ready modules adding WiFi functionality and cloud connectivity to any new or existing electronic device.

The EC19W01 measures 14 x 16 x 2.8 mm and complies with the latest Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n standards with full FCC, EC, IC, and soon TELEC certification. Features include AirPlay, Wi-Fi Direct, ProbMeTM configuration, full TCP/IP stack, HTTPS/SSL, DHCP Client/Server, WPS, legacy Wi-Fi Client and SoftAP modes with WPA/WPA2 support, Serial to Wi-Fi, Cloud Service Support, and more.

According to Dimitris Leonardos, VP of Product Management of Econais Inc. the EC19W01 makes it easy to quickly design a Wi-Fi equipped device that connects to the cloud. Developers will find that Econais’ extensive software libraries shorten the design cycle and the plug and play modules will get their products quickly and inexpensively connected to the internet.

Engineering samples and production quantities of the EC19W01 are available now.
