Whether you are a professional electronics technician or are developing your own projects in "Homelab" style, electronica is once again a must-attend event in 2018. Of course, Elektor can't afford to miss out in Munich. From 13 to 16 November, we will be there as a premium partner: together with Messe München, we are presenting the electronica Fast Forward Start-Up Award for the second time. On the first three days of the fair, founders of electronic start-ups and private developers will present their ideas and prototypes to a jury of experts and the public, competing for valuable prizes (a total of 150,000 euros!). In terms of sponsors we were able to attract renowned electronics manufacturers and distributors such as Arrow Electronics, Avnet Silica, EBV Elektronik and Trinamic. An overview of the short presentations of the participants that take place in the mornings can be found here.

For the afternoons we have put together an interesting Lectures Programme. Electronics experts will talk about topics such as electronics in space, pitfalls in setting up a start-up and solutions for component procurement. Our star guest is Eben Upton, founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation: in his lecture you can learn interesting facts about the world of the popular single board computer. Of course, both the participants of the Fast Forward competition and the electronics experts will be available to answer questions from the audience!

Of course we welcome everyone interested in projects, Elektor Magazine articles, Elektor books and the contents of our Labs-website at our booth (C5, booth 225). You can have exciting conversations with editors and developers and also bring your own projects to discuss. And of course the Elektor team also has the latest hardware from our laboratory in their luggage. During the fair you can also buy Elektor products or — if they are not in stock — order them and get them delivered without shipping costs.

As a thank-you every visitor to our booth receives a circuit board to build the Elektor Raspberry Pi Ruler.

Come join the fun!
