Elektor Engineers on Social Media

Elektor has been gaining followers rapidly over the past several months. For instance, more than 18,300 people currently subscribe to the Elektor TV YouTube channel. Plus, we have more than 10,500 followers for the @Elektor Twitter account and 12,380+ followers on the @ElektorLabs Facebook page. But there’s more! You can interact directly with the following Elektor engineers and editors:

  • Clemens Valens (@Clemens_Elektor): Whether you’re looking for insights about home control projects or you want to know what’s happening at Elektor Labs, Clemens is your man. Even though he spends most of his work hours at his workbench, he does break free every so often to share pics of his projects, engineering tips, and funny tweets (e.g., “Silly me, I forgot to mention that the GBDSO is from 2000, more than 20 years old! (and still pretty useless, actually)”).
  • C. J. Abate (@Elektor_US): Follow C. J. for industry news, thought leader interviews, and updates on everything Elektor. And if you want to talk about publishing article or book, or perhaps collaborating with Elektor on a product, drop him a line!
  • Mathias Claussen (@ElektorMathias): A reliable engineer and innovator who excels at tackling engineering and software problems, Mathias has a wide range of technical interests and skills. Although he just launched this Twitter account, he’ll soon have hundreds of followers eagerly awaiting the next project from his workbench in Germany.

And more to come. In the coming days, we'll inform you about other Elektor staffers who will be posting projects and tips on social media.

TSMC and Samsung Lead Foundry Revenue Race

It’s smart to keep an eye on the global foundry market and the sorts of technologies that drive chip demand each year. This quarter, a growing demand for Internet-connected end products, 5G chips, and automotive chips seems to be driving foundry revenue growth. According to TrendForce, revenue at top global foundries should jump 20% year-over-year (YoY) in Q1 2021. TSMC, Samsung, and UMC lead the pack in terms of revenue.

Embedded World 2021 DIGITAL

Due to Covid-19, the Embedded World Exhibition is fully digital this year, from March 1-5. Don’t have time to attend the digital event? No problem. Elektor engineers are attending and will be reporting in the coming days on interesting products and technologies. Sneak peek: MCUs hitting the 1-GHz clock range, ARM Cortex-M33 on the rise, AI for resource-constrained devices, and new embedded software solutions at your fingertips. Stay tuned for a report from Elektor engineers Mathias Claussen and Jens Nickel. You can subscribe to Elektor's Embedded World tag and follow all of our coverage. Don't miss out.
