Are you a detail-oriented copyeditor interested in proofreading and perfecting content for Elektor? We are looking for a part-time, English-speaking copyeditor to ensure accurate, grammatically correct copy appears in Elektor Mag, on our websites, in our newsletter, and in our marketing collateral. This is an exciting opportunity to help Elektor’s global teams create and distribute high-quality English language copy. Elektor is accepting applications via email at editorialjobs@elektor.com.

What you will work on:
  • Copyedit English Elektor Mag articles (print and online).
  • Update online English articles as needed and fix all grammatical and style errors.
  • Proofread English text for Elektor’s marketing and product teams, including marketing copy, short product descriptions, corporate emails, and social media posts.  
  • Help to maintain the Elektor brand voice across all communications (English).

Help Elektor's editorial team ensure its articles are free of any grammatical, accuracy, or style issues.
Qualifications:
  • You have strong English language writing, editing, and speaking skills.
  • You have either: (a) experience as a English language copyeditor, with a strong interest in electronics, or (b) experience as an engineer or maker, with a strong interest in English language copyediting and digital publishing. We will also consider a recently graduated student with the requisite skills and a passion for electronics.
  • You are curious about electronics, computers, coding, and/or next-gen electronic technology.
  • You are an independent multitasker capable of meeting tight editorial deadlines.
  • Skills: English grammar, MS Office, and experience with online content publishing.

Elektor offers a competitive compensation package with benefits, as well as a flexible work and results-based environment. The company maintains offices in Aachen, Germany, and Susteren, Netherlands, but most staffers currently work remotely due to COVID-19.
