Last year, for the first time since Elektor’s launch in 1961, we decided to invite our friends at SparkFun Electronics to guest-edit a complete edition of Elektor Mag. The result was a fresh and much-appreciated magazine that both companies supported through their communities, social media accounts, and newsstands. We reached a bigger audience than ever! This year, we are excited to bring you another guest-edited edition — this time, curated by the amazing engineers and innovators at Arduino. Over the past few months, Arduino co-founder David Cuartielles and his creative colleagues have actively collaborated with our editors, engineers, and studio to make this an absolutely unique production, which we are publishing in English, German, Dutch, French, and Italian. The guest-edited magazine covers a wide range of topics, including Arduino Pro applications, innovative Arduino-based DIY projects, and much more. The great contributions you will find in the magazine come from both teams, as well as members of the global Arduino community. Enjoy!

About Elektor

Technological advances have added complexity to embedded-systems development. We have to learn about the effort made to deliver the technology. However, many embedded devices still can’t perceive things visually. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could teach all our devices to see the world the way we do? Or to find a solution to keep IoT endpoints up to date? Elektor is deeply researching topics related to Embedded Systems.
But who are we?

In our community, we publish books, magazines, websites, webinars, podcasts, courses, and anything you could think of. We have the latest news about electronics, exciting technical reviews, and articles. On our Elektor.TV YouTube channel, you can access a wide range of videos — from interviews to reviews — made by us. And if you want to read more about next-generation technologies, such as ESP32 and the IoT, you can always attend our interactive webinars. Are you looking for tips on keeping the IoT firmware up to date? Then, you can discover more about Embedded Systems with our Elektor Engineering Insights: Embedded Software and IoT, where Stuart Cording speaks with three guests: Bharath Koppa from Tasking, Ulderico Arcidiaco from Sfera Labs, and Fabio Tranchitella from Mender.io. In addition to our engineers, we encourage our members to participate in Elektor Labs, a free online platform for sharing electronics projects and collaborating with other innovators. Along with the open community, the Elektor Lab Talk is a regular livestream with Elektor Engineers about DIY electronics, embedded programming, or engineering theory. Our experts can be contacted for engineering tips, future electronics projects, and to answer community questions.

Our goal is to share our passion for electronics with a nurturing community and to reach out to people who have the same dedication as us. If you are an engineer passionate about technology and eager to learn more about what the future holds regarding microcontrollers, embedded applications, and software development, then start your journey with Elektor.
