#EcoMonday tip 15: Start a Fire!
Okay, it's not really eco and it might not be state of the art technology, but this could be the ultimate 'one thing you would bring to an uninhabited island' gadget; a solar spark fire starter. The Solar Spark Lighter lets anyone creatre fire without the need of any fuel. All you need is a decent light source (the sun will do) and just a small amount of combustable material. The bowl shape reflects light and focusses on whatever is placed between the prongs of the fork in the center. The Solar Spark Lighter is small enough to fit in your pocket and the little fork is can be folded down. For sale at Amazon for $17,95!

#EcoMonday is Tech the Future's weekly eco-tip. We believe contributing to a better future shouldn't be too difficult. Small changes in our habits potentially have huge effects on our future. If we all make our own toothpaste for instance, we could save 897,600,000 kilo’s of plastic a year. #EcoMonday is also our means of spreading Twitter love. By adding '#' before EcoMonday, we (and you) are able to share our tips with the rest of the World. If you have an #EcoMonday tip to share, post it on Twitter today!
