Jitter (phase noise) is a serious problem in the linking of two or more audio units. lt is invariably caused by poorly designed oscillators in the recording equipment when tbts operates in the slave mode, that is, when it reproduces the system clock of the source equipmenr with the ald of a phaselocked loop (PLL).
