DVM without isolation

DVM without isolation
Normally, commercial DVM modules based on the popular ICL7106/07 ICs require the measurement voltage to be electrically isolated (‘floating’) with respect to the supply voltage. Without appropriate precautions, it is, for example, not possible to measure a potential in a power supply with reference to ground.
