Edition 4/2016 of Elektor Magazine now available
Now hot off the press is Elektor’s July & August 2016 edition! It’s available for purchase either as a pdf document or a printed magazine with free (!) shipping. The completely identical online version is available for instant download by GOLD and GREEN members here.

One of the highlights of this edition is the Elektor SDR Reloaded. This article explains how an SDR, or Software Defined Radio, can be used with an Arduino Shield as a front-end. With detailed figures and drawing you will learn the basics in no time.

Another highlight is the Elektor Uno R4. When the B version of the ATmega328P, the processor at the heart of the Arduino Uno R3, was released it paved the way for another upgrade. This article explores the new Arduino Uno R4 and analyses its key features, components and uses in an exciting Labs Project.

This edition includes the awaited PIC Assembler Crash Course 2.1; following on from the three part crash course we published last year in assembler programming for PIC microcontrollers, this series delves deeper with this instalment focussing on interrupts. Also included is the formidable Bat Detector Plus, a device designed to detect bats by turning the ultrasound noise they emit into sound that can be heard by us humans — without losing the amplitude component.

Edition 4/2016 also maintains the LEARN, SHARE and DESIGN pillars, so you can easily utilise the layout to access exactly what you want to, when you want to. The edition is as always jam packed with Labs Projects, reviews, articles, Retronics and much more to keep you entertained for hours on end.

This edition also provides exciting articles exploring Flowcode 7, the fourth instalment of Eagle CAD Tips & Tricks and the final part of the i-Pendulum articles. And of course we have included all of our updates and news stories to peak your interest and keep you in the loop of what’s going on here at Elektor.
