Who Can Enter the Elektor Labs 2024 Contest?

This contest is open to everyone – hobbyists, students, professionals, and tech enthusiasts of all backgrounds. Whether you're working on your first project or you're a seasoned inventor, your contribution is valuable.

How to Participate:

 
  • Step 1:
Dive into the Elektor Verticals – ARDUINO, CIRCUITS, EMBEDDED & AI, ESPRESSIF, IOT & SENSORS, POWER & ENERGY, PROTOTYPING & PRODUCTION, RASPBERRY PI, TEST & MEASUREMENT, WIRELESS & COMMUNICATION – and consider how your project can address one or more of the UN's SDGs.
  • Step 2:
Visit the Elektor Labs projects page and enter your project. Your submission should clearly outline the project idea, design, application, and its alignment with the selected SDGs. For a complete list of requirements, see ‘How to Submit’ section below.
  • Step 3:
Share your project's journey on social media using the hashtag #Elektor2024Contest. Elektor Labs will feature some of these projects weekly, showcasing the progress and creativity of participants.

How to Submit to the Elektor Labs 2024 Contest

  1. Prepare Your Submission: Ensure your project aligns with the Elektor Verticals and addresses one or more SDGs. Gather documentation, including descriptions, technical details, and visual aids.
  2. Document and Submit Your Project: Submit a detailed document via the Elektor Labs page, outlining:
    • Project title and team members.
    • Overview of the problem and your innovative solution.
    • Use of bards, verticals, and alignment with SDGs.
    • Supplementary information (diagrams, schematics, code snippets, repository links).
    • Optional: Create a 2–5-minute video demonstrating your project's impact.

  1. Engage on Social Media: Share your project's journey with #Elektor2024Contest. Selected projects will be featured on our channels.

Submission Period

  • Important: Your project must be submitted and published between March 14, 2024, and March 28, 2024, to qualify for the contest. Projects added outside this timeframe will not be eligible for the challenge.

Winner Announcement

The winners will be announced on no other day than the official Earth Day, April 22, 2024.

Prizes

  • 1st Prize: €100 Elektor Store voucher + 2-page article in Elektor Magazine.
  • 2nd Prize: €75 Elektor Store voucher.
  • 3rd Prize: €50 Elektor Store voucher.
 

Judging Criteria

Projects will be evaluated based on innovation, technical merit, design optimization, and how well they address the SDGs.
