We’re up to the twenty-third webinar in our series with partner element14, and this one really sums up why we started our webinar series in the first place: to discuss and show complex ideas and projects in a simple and digestible way! This time, we’re breaking down Digital Signal Processing (DSP) without all the complicated mathematics.

Using the ADAU1701 Universal Audio DSP Board from Elektor January & February 2014 along with Analog Devices’ SigmaStudio (SS) Software, we’ll be creating a simple two-way active audio crossover filter in just a few clicks and drags of your mouse!

Additionally, designer of the project and main presenter Ramkumar Ramaswamy from India demonstrates how the standard analog building blocks in the SS library make it possible to use the Elektor Board as a DSP platform and simulate an analog design and then make it happen in the analog domain; something that every audiophile is bound to love doing!

Electronics has been Ram's passion since building his first amp ages 12 years old which delighted him by instantly becoming a MW receiver. He has gone on to earn an MSc in physics and a PhD in Operations Research, making him the perfect gentleman to present this webinar together with resident Editor and show host Jan Buiting.
