Over the past weeks your credit card probably has seen a lot of action, so much maybe that it may have died from exhaustion. If it did, you now have an excellent opportunity to take it apart and have a look at what is inside. All you need to do is immerse the card during 30 minutes in some acetone to dissolve the plastic and uncover the electronics hidden inside.

Note that this is a destructive operation, and you won't be able to pay anything with your credit card afterwards. It is therefore a good method to ensure that your credit card won’t be used anymore (assuming that your bank still accepts your transactions and nobody nicked its details online).

This video shows how you do it and what you may discover.
