The tiniest amount of personal information seems to be sufficient these days to enable these peeping Toms to reach final conclusions about your interests and preferences. Despite massive protests of data protection authorities, there is brisk trade in databases compiled in this way. As a result, the unwitting web user is bombarded with megabytes of unsolicited information (junk mail) from less reputable Internet traders.
