Q1 Global Semiconductor Sales Up 20%
Global semiconductor sales were strong in in the first quarter of 2018. Sales hit $111.1 billion in Q1, which was a 20% increase compared to Q1 2017. Sales were up 35.7% in the Americas, 20.6% in Europe, and 18.8% in China. Learn More
 
TI Tops the 2017 Analog IC List
Texas Instruments’s analog IC division had a great 2017. TI’s analog IC sales increased rose 16% in 2017, according to IC Insights. The company topped the leading analog IC suppliers list with $9.9 billion in sales. Analog Devices ($4.3 billion) and Skyworks Solutions ($3.7 billion) came in second place and third place. Women Filing Patents on the Rise
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announced last week that international patent filings by women increased by 23% over the past 10 years. Women filed 31.2% of international patents in 2017. Learn More
