As you know, at Elektor we regularly host an engaging Elektor Lab Talk every few weeks, where our passionate editorial team dives into the latest electronic trends. This time, we were thrilled to broadcast directly from the Elektor booth at embedded world 2024 in Nuremberg. Check out more details below!

Hosted by Brian Tristam Williams, Jens Nickel and Stuart Cording from Elektor, the session was also enhanced by the presence of our esteemed guests Anant Gupta and Pedro Minatel from Espressif. They all shared their enthusiasm and insights on current trends and the future of embedded technologies. Anant and Pedro detailed the advancements in IoT connectivity solutions, emphasizing dual-band Wi-Fi technologies and the integration of new security features into their products.

Among the highlights was an exploration of new IoT cellular technologies, including the emerging Cat-1 bis and 5G RedCap, which promise to revolutionize how devices communicate in increasingly crowded networks. The newest product of BeagleBone, the BeagleV AI, was also discussed. This new single-board computer integrates powerful processing capabilities tailored for AI applications, offering developers a robust platform for innovation. All in all, Brian, Jens and Stuart discussed a series of fascinating segments, each showcasing the innovative spirit pervading the event. Practical details and the comfort of visitors have not been forgotten at the show, as evidenced by the voice-activated coffee making robot at Mouser’s stand!
