ESP32 by Example Learning Course: Unboxing and First Look
on
If you’ve been meaning to get properly fluent with the ESP32 (beyond random sketches and half-finished tutorials), Elektor’s ESP32 by Example Learning Course is designed as a single, consistent path: one core hardware setup, a structured sequence of modules, and projects that scale from basic I/O up to connectivity and capstones.
What’s in the Box
The course is built around the “ESP32 by Example Kit” concept: keep the platform mostly stable so you spend your time learning and experimenting, not endlessly rewiring. Alongside the printed book, the box includes multiple ESP32-friendly boards and a small set of sensors and build accessories (think LEDs/buttons on an extension board, an OLED, motion sensing, and a basic temperature/humidity sensor).
Why This Course Is Useful
Beyond the usual GPIO and display basics, the curriculum pushes into the parts that make ESP32 worth the bother: Wi-Fi and networking, Bluetooth interactions, and getting from “it works on my desk” to something that resembles an actual embedded/IoT system. If you want the official deep end later, Espressif’s own ESP32 documentation is the natural next step.
Watch the Unboxing Video
In the video, I go through every item in the box, show the boards up close, and give you a practical sense of what you’ll be working with as you move through the modules.
