IQD has announced a new range of low-profile, oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXO) offering ± 1 ppb frequency stability with low phase noise over the full industry temperature range of -40 to 85°C.

The IQOV-114 series of OCXOs have a phase noise typically of -120 dBc/Hz at 10 Hz or -155 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz. These properties makes them a good choice for 4G / LTE / 5G base stations, commercial transmitters, satellite communications, radar and Wi-Max applications. The IQOV-114 series is suitable for use in the frequency range of 8.192 to 30.72MHz. The currently developed frequencies include: 8.192MHz, 10.0MHz, 12.80MHz, 13.0MHz, 15.36MHz, 16.384MHz, 19.2MHz, 20.0MHz and 30.72.0MHz.

Ageing performance is less than ±0.5ppb per day and ±50ppb per year. Supply Voltage Variation (measurement referenced to frequency observed with TA=25 degrees C, Vs varied from 3.13 to 3.47V and load=15pF) is ±2ppb max whilst Short Term Stability or Allan Variance (temperature stable, no EMI/EMC or other interference, test after power for 1hr ref. to 25 degrees C; 1s) is 0.01ppb max
The HCMOS-based OCXO is housed in a 20 x 2.7 mm FR4 base SMD package with metal lid, it can  operate down at 3.3V and drive loads up to 15 pF. It draws a maximum of 1 amp during warm-up and 500 mA steady state at 25°C.
