In this webinar George Rasko, senior applications engineer at Microchip, guides you through the Microchip University course “Introduction to Solid-State Lighting”. Solid-state lighting refers mostly to LEDs, but not only. He explains terminology used in lighting applications and answers questions like "What are candela?", "What are lux and lumen?" and "What is light temperature?". George Rasko also provides an introduction to lighting drivers and control techniques for solid state lighting applications. Together with Clemens Valens from Elektor, he covers the most important aspects of the technology. They also provide background information, show several videos from the course, and go into more detail about the content in these videos. They answer questions from participants too, of course.
