Test and measurement equipment accounts for around 17%, while technical learning resources, tools and accessories, and PCB fabrication receive smaller shares.

Given an extra €500, respondents would most likely invest in higher-value equipment. Nearly 40% would buy a new oscilloscope, analyzer, or other test equipment, while about 30% would choose workshop tools. Components for new projects rank a distant third at around 13%, suggesting that extra discretionary spending tends to go toward durable tools and equipment.
