Wondering about the results from last week’s System Check on the topic of learning analog techniques? Here are the results from last week.
We followed up with a question about the best way to learn analog. Respondents strongly favored practical experience. Hands-on labs ranked highest, followed by theory/books and project-based learning. The results reinforce something we often hear from engineers and educators alike: analog is difficult to grasp through abstraction alone. Reading matters, but building and experimenting are what make the concepts stick. Interestingly, mentorship also received meaningful support, highlighting the continued value of learning directly from experienced engineers who understand the nuances that textbooks frequently miss. That is an important insight when you consider how fast AI is changing the landscape.
