During soldering dangerous fumes are released. A professional environment is therefore expected to have a reliable fume extraction system (it is, by the way, also not such a bad idea for the passionate hobbyist either). The eC-fume-cube is, for hand-soldering at the workbench, a real solution to this problem. Because of the internal filters there is no need to install a costly and often difficult air extraction system to the outside and the equipment can be placed at any location in the workshop and used. It is therefore very simple to move it from one work area to another, should that be required.

Naturally, the amount of airflow can be adjusted on this professional equipment. The device even measures this airflow and controls this to the required volume, should the filter have aged somewhat and is starting to become 'clogged'. Incidentally, the HEPA-filter, which removes virtually all particles larger than 0.3 µm, is very easy to replace. The active carbon filter takes care of removing harmful gases. The maximum airflow of 200 m3/hour is more than sufficient for most workbench activities and with its compact dimensions it does not get in the way.

The eC-fume-cube package is supplied with a pre-filter pad, a HEPA-filter, a 2-m installation kit, a 5-m on/off switch and, of course, the eC-fume-cube itself. This allows you to start using the equipment immediately. If you will be using the equipment frequently then it is perhaps a good idea to order a few spare filters at the same time. These you can also find at Eurocircuits.
