The aim in this project is to use Whatsapp in a Raspberry Pi for sending and receiving messages with our smartphone. On the one hand, we will be able to receive alerts by WhatsApp when inputs in GPIO are activated. This will let you know the value of several sensors. This project can also be used to know either interruptions or events in our software (i.e. a WhatsApp can be sent if the Raspberry Pi can't download a file in the Internet) On the other hand, we can interact through short texts by WhatsApp in the GPIO. We could turn on a lamp, open a door or change the value in one variable. This project will explain step to step how to install and use WhastApp in a Raspberry Pi
