In the Elektor Summer Circuits of 1980, I came across just what I had been looking for; a decent power supply for my electronics work bench. It was to be my first major project (i.e., one with a box around it). After a few weeks of PCB manufacture, MCM switching design, wiring and box fabrication, it was finished. It worked like a dream and then continued to do so for more than forty years. But now, It's time for a refresh for the old design.

This project is a complete design refresh of a successful Elektor variable bench PSU from the 1980s using modern techniques and SMD components. Please read the full PDF found within the 'other' section for more detailed information
