Elektor has signed an agreement with NXP for the co-production of the NXP Cup for European universities.

The NXP Cup is a global competition in which student teams build a small racing car and program the controller. The fastest car that independently completes a circuit wins. The NXP Cup is a competitive and practical way for students to learn about embedded systems and intelligent controls.

The NXP Cup started in 2003 in Korea with 80 teams. Since then the competition has expanded to China, India, Malaysia, Malaysia, Malaysia, Latin America, North America and most recent Europe in 2012. More than 500 schools and 15,000 students take part in the competition each year. The European finals will take place on 16-17 April in Erlangen, Germany.

Elektor will regularly publish about the NXP Cup in various media such as Elektor Labs and Elektor Magazine.
