The largest tech merger in history?
Where do you work? An easy question for most of us, but for some it has become a difficult one as they find it hard to keep up. When as an answer you get “Let me get back to you on that” or words of similar meaning, you may be talking to someone from Motorola, no that should be Freescale, I mean NXP, no, wait, Qualcomm, or should I say Broadcom?

Indeed, Freescale was taken over by NXP in the beginning of 2016, then NXP got eaten up by Qualcomm at the end of 2016, a merger that hasn’t even been finished yet, and now, one year later, Broadcom has decided that it will acquire Qualcomm.

The largest merger ever?

Their first offer of $105 billion has been refused by Qualcomm. The exact amount is not clear, some sources mention even $130 billion, but if it comes through it will be the biggest technology merger in history.
