Have you ever dreamed of creating your own voice-commanded DIY projects, similar to what you can do with Alexa or Siri? The ESP32-S3 Box can make this a reality. In this new video, we offer an overview of this compact device packed with features for AIoT (AI and IoT) applications. The ESP32-S3 Box is actually part of a series of products, as you will see in the video. It features a touchscreen interface, AI-enhanced voice recognition, GPIO ports for custom projects, USB for power and updates, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Everything is built around an ESP32-S3 module. It's an ideal tool for both prototype development and anyone looking for a customizable voice assistant.

Unboxing the ESP32-S3 Box

The video starts with an unboxing of the device and its accessories. An instruction leaflet is included, though online resources may be preferred for their ease of access and comprehensiveness. Setting up the device is straightforward, involving powering it up with a USB-C connection and configuring it through either the touchscreen or a mobile app for additional functionalities like Wi-Fi connectivity.

As an example, the video then shows how to use a voice command to change the color of an RGB LED. You'll have to try it yourself to get the best results. As is often the case with this type of device, not everything works perfectly the first time, with maybe some sensitivity to ambient noise, and the usual occasional Bluetooth pairing bug. The device also offers a mute function to prevent unintended command recognition and a straightforward setup process through its mobile app. After setup, the device worked well, also allowing it to control the RGB LED light directly from a phone.

This ESP32-S3 Box is quick to set up and offers vast potential for various applications. We can't wait to see what exciting applications people come up with once the ESP32-S3 Box version 3 becomes available. Check out the video below:
