For a number of reasons, it should be contained in its own enclosure. The control cable from the control panel can then easily be up to 100 feet long, so that the power unit may be installed close to the lighting, i.e., between the mains supply and the flood lights, spot lights, or whatever other lights that may be used. Block schematic To ensure first-class performance, filters are provided between the mains supply and all electronic circuits as shown in Fig.l. This obviates the possibility of any mains inter- ference reaching the electronic circuits, and also of any feedback from these circuits onto the mains supply.
