Single-diode full-wave rectification

Single-diode full-wave rectification
For measurements on alternating voltage, an active rectifier is normally needed to convert that voltage into a direct voltage which is applied to a meteror an A-D (analogue to digital) converter. Although the present circuit uses only a single diode, full-wave recutification is effected.
